BurgerFi-ghts for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® with New Seasonal Shake Line
Fast Casual Eatery to Donate Proceeds from Milkshake Sales to End Childhood Cancer
NORTH PALM BEACH, FL (February 22, 2017) – BurgerFi is “shaking things up” to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® in its mission to defeat childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Beginning February 22, the popular better-burger chain will be donating $1 from every featured shake purchased from their rotating menu of seasonal flavors. BurgerFi’s signature Oreo Chocolate Mint Cookie Shake will kick off the year-long initiative, and a new fundraising shake flavor will be featured every six weeks. The shake features vanilla custard, chocolate sauce and crushed Oreo cookies topped with whipped cream, mint and two Oreo Mint cookies.
St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
“BurgerFi is proud to partner with St. Jude, and we invite our guests to enjoy our shakes in order to help give St. Jude the freedom to focus on what matters most – saving children regardless of their financial situation,” said Corey Winograd, CEO of BurgerFi. “Our hope is that with our support and with the help of the communities in which we reside, BurgerFi will make a difference in hundreds of families’ lives, one shake at a time.”
